Mt Tabor Basement

This 1950s mid-century modern home was custom built for the original owner who was an electrical engineer and the basement featured heated floors and 8’ ceilings. Both details are unheard of in most Portland homes. We were lucky to have the original floor plans to refer to and that gave us the idea to incorporate the second staircase that had never been built.. For the new design, the owner requested an open floorplan with a second kitchen, a full bath, two bedrooms, a workout room and large living room for entertaining guests.
